In this production of In the Forests of the Night, as sound designers our main jobs were to put the audience in the atmosphere of this forest that the show takes place in, and to show this monster that was coming to get these two students in this forest at night. 

The vision that our directors had of the monster that comes in at the end of the show was that it would represent the future. With that in mind, we decided that for our representation of the monster what we would do is record all of the cast members yelling something that scares them about the future, and then put those recordings together to be the sound of the “monster.”
