My name is Kate Schneider, and I am a sound designer and technician who recently graduated from James Madison University and is currently based in the Washington, DC area. As a sound designer, I believe it is my job to use my design to enhance the audience experience of a show. Whether it's by choosing the right music to underscore a play, the right sounds to build suspense and make the audience feel uneasy, or making sure that the cast and musicians' wonderful music can be heard properly, the audience experience is very important to me. In addition to being a sound designer, I am also a lighting technician.

When I'm not doing theater, you can find me playing piano and guitar, spending time outside, or probably rewatching my favorite TV shows for at least the fourth time.
